Natalie G. Regier, PhD

Dr. Natalie G. Regier is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialty training in working with older adults (typically defined as those aged 60+ or 65+). Dr. Regier earned a Master’s degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland (2010) followed by a Doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Alabama (2013). In addition to receiving training in the core competency areas of a clinical psychology PhD at the University of Alabama, Dr. Regier trained in the program’s Geropsychology specialty track.

She spent her predoctoral internship year at the APA-accredited Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where her rotation content included Geropsychology, palliative care, polytrauma, group psychotherapy (e.g., depression, anxiety, substance use disorders), inpatient substance use disorders treatment, and home-based primary care. Dr. Regier completed her formal clinical training with an APA-accredited postdoctoral Geropsychology fellowship at the VA Boston Consortium (which encompasses the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Harvard University, and Boston University). Rotation content at the VA Boston Consortium included outpatient geriatric mental health, inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological assessment, dementia caregiver support groups, cancer support groups, and psychotherapy for older adults in skilled care facilities. Dr. Regier also completed a research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovative Care in Aging.

In addition to her clinical work, she is currently a Principal Faculty member at the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovative Care in Aging and an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, where she conducts dementia-related research and teaches Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students.
